COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
In April 30th , I did the volunteer work for Jingling Library with Gerry , Oliver and Victor . In the morning , we met at the gate of Nanjing NO.9 middle school . Then we went to Jingling Library , we found the principal at the third floor . There are many students did the volunteer work before , so principal didn't feel amazing or surprising .
At the beginning , he didn't find suitable work for us so he let us visit anywhere or read books .Every of us found the book to read about half an hour long . About 10 a.m , he brought a man called director Sun , Sun took us to the first floor , he asked us to marshal the books base on their book number . He taught us how to marshal the books and found the regular pattern of the book number such as the 14245 and 14258 are in the same row , the 14245 and 14345 are not in the same row .
The books in bookshlef are so messy . I actually found out the 6985 in the 142~~ 's row . We just marshal one bookshelf but the work quantity was very large，we needed marshal the books and clean the bookshlf . We divided the work, I was responsible for marshaled and cleaned the second tier of bookshelf , Oliver was responsible for the first and third tier , Gerry and Victor were responsible for the fourth tier and fifth tier . The first tier has many novels , after finished the work , I chose my favorite novel to read .
There is lots of ash cover over the shelf , we used dusters (made of chicken feathers ) to clean . After that , our body were covered by ash . When we finished all the work , we had some extra time so I read book quietly , other people also chose their favorite book to read . We went outside to had lunch .
This experience is important and meaningful for me , it temper my ability of enduring hardships . I know the portfolio we will have next year , I want to choose other work to temper my different abilities .

GO TO A PERFORMANCE
Before the New Year's Day , my parents and I watched the concert of Richard Clayderman . I like the piano music because when I listen it , I will be intoxicated .At the night of December 30th , we arrived Wutaishan gym early but we can saw the long motorcade were looking for parking area . When we got hall , all the seats were sit by audiences . We found three empty seats . At 7:30p.m , the concert began , the performers are not just Richard Clayderman , an Chinese musical group would perform too .The group has four beautiful girl , they had four different musical instruments respective . They took 25-stringed plucked instrument similar to zither , pipa , erhu fiddle and bamboo flute .
When Clayderman began to play , the lights were turned off but the platform light were turned on . He played a lyric song, his fingers plucked fingerboard softly and slowly . I enjoyed the soft song quietly . When the first song finished , the audience clappd the pianist heartily . And then ,the girl group began to perform thier programs . The national musical instruments are different from the west musical instruments , they played a classical song first , and then they cooperate with Clayderman to played the west song . There is a interlude among the whole performance , eight children played piano music"I love Tian An Men in Beijing" together .
The concert was about two hours long , the time passd quickly unwittingly . My feeling is different from the concert in television . I don't know when he will come to Nanjing again , but if he come , I will go attend again .
